Dr P.C.J. Hoogenboom

Pierre Hoogenboom attended technical schools on carpentry (LTS), building site management (MTS), and structural design (HTS). After working in several construction and design companies he studied Civil Engineering in Delft University of Technology. Part of this was carried out at the University of Texas at Austin (Ferguson Lab). In 1998 he received a Ph.D. degree for his work on the stringer-panel method. In 1999 he worked on performance-based design in the Concrete Laboratory of the University of Tokyo. Currently, he teaches in the Applied Mechanics Section of Delft University of Technology, Faculty of Civil Engineering.
